{sundance..}

My grandparents own a place up in Sundance.. affectionately known as kindernest.
They have been here visiting from New York for awhile, so we've been spending alot of time up there.
I've said before how beautiful i think it is in the winter absolutely covered in snow.
I wish a camera could catch its beauty, but it doesn't.

But here are some pics anyways from one of the many times we have gone up.
I think it was New Years day, and all the cousins bundled up and went sledding.
Needless to say, there is about 4-5 feet of snow up there, and its gorgeous!

{a new year!}

................first off, 2 claps for my 200th post! yahoo.

second, a must-do: top 11 of 2011

#10: a new car
we ended the year with a bang and bought a land rover! seriously, we were there until close on new years eve. jord is having serious buyer's remorse, but i am just lovin on it. ever since i saw julie roberts drive that old- school black land rover in stepmom, it became one of my faves.

#8: baby moon.
in march jord and i took our last "horrah" as non-parents to vegas for a baby moon. loved that trip. you can see that post HERE

#9: birthdays.
i turned 24 in january, and jord turned 25 in august. {i love birthdays!}you can see those posts HERE

#8: an anniversary.
our marriage turned 3 in may. i just love that guy. you can see that post HERE

#7: moving from logan
i say this not as a complete "highlight", but definitely a big one from 2011. logan was my home for 6 years. where i had my first apartment, where i froze my buns off every year from nov-april and also learned that your nose hairs can freeze! where i met and fell in love with jord, where i graduated from college, where i had my first baby (etc). alot happened in logan... and although i was ready to go, i will never forget that place. i will love it forever.

#6 moving to bountiful
although i loved being at the in-laws for the summer, we were ready to be on our own again ;) you can see that post HERE.

#5: arizona
we finally made it to the center of the sun and saw jords sisters' family. it was hoooot, but such a fun trip! and rowan did awesome on the plane. you can see that post HERE.

#4: target
jord was offered a management position at target right after we graduated. we feel really blessed and they have been pretty good to us! ;) {minus the fact they stay open until 9 pm on christmas eve.. boo!}

#3: breaking dawn premier
you know that the top 2 have to be really awesome to make this number 3 ;) but this trip was the trip and experience of a lifetime. a million good/funny/intense memories will never be forgotten. {miss you already rob!} you can read about that trip (you haven't already?) HERE and HERE.

#2: graduation
we did it!!!!!!!! jord and i both graduated from utah state. one of my, probably his too, proudest and greatest accomplishments. the best part? walking hand in hand with my husband, and holding my 5 week old baby. something i will never ever forget. you can read about that post HERE.

#1: rowan paige staples
what can i say about this one.  obviously, she is the best thing that happened to us this year. (and everything that goes along with her; when we brought her home, her first walk, her first bath, her blessing day, her first halloween and christmas (ETC!). honestly, she would be #'s 1-20 if i knew it wouldnt bore everyone to death. becoming parents was a transition for us, but literally we thank Heavenly Father everyday for this precious baby that came into our lives in April. She is such a good baby and we absolutely are smitten by her! you can read about her birth story HERE.

what a year, right? alot of big things happened to us, and we are looking forward to 2012 being a little more low-key and enjoying everything that happened in 2011. may it be a prosperous year!!! (for all of us).
happy 2012!
