we have fiiiinnnnnaaaaallllllyyyyy moved! hurrah! hurrah! it's heaven on earth. i had forgot how amazing it was to live on our own ;) anyways, i'll get posting to our new place later. i wanted to post about Christmas first before i forgot!
we, like every year, are back and forth & back and forth between houses on christmas eve and christmas day. but somehow its gotten
{a little} less-chaotic year after year. we started out in bountiful on christmas eve, at the nelson party. my family was in charge this year, and we decided to do a little photo-booth. it turned out cute. but the funniest part is that rowan could NOT get enough. she stood in front of the sheet and would just say "cheeeeeeeeeeese" (we'll have to practice that saying cheese means that you smile and look at the camera). Even if it was someone else's family, she still wanted to be in it. and if i stopped taking pictures for one second, she would run over to me, hit my leg, say "momma" and then run back to her position in front of the photobooth and say "cheeeeese". i thought it was hilarious because rowan is
not one for pictures!
and rowan was not one for meeting santa either...
there was no way she was even gonna sit on his lap for one milli-second.
we had to quickly leave that party, and head to the next.. down in sandy, with jord's family.
we had a scrumptious dinner and spent the night there...
i was excited for Christmas with rowan this year.
i knew she would be way more into it than last, and she was.
she would love to drive around and look at all the Christmas lights on houses.
She would just say "MOOOOM!!!" and point to all of them!
{and i know it will just get more fun year after year}
she loved opening presents! and she wanted to help everyone else open their's. when she discovered that it was something she wasn't interested in, she wanted to quickly move to the next one. I think her favorite present was a pretty pink stroller! she went crazy and she hasn't stopped playing with it since.
{thanks gramma sug and grampa joe for the matching jammies!}
then we jumped in the car again down to orem to open presents with my family.
...where rowan was very cooperative for our family pics. -she's such a stinker sometimes!
....and my one of my favorite parts of Christmas morning,
STRATTA! the most delicious breakfast casserole i've ever had in my whole life.
and after breakfast, we jumped in the car once more, to head up to my grandparents "cabin" up in sundance.
it might be scary to drive in.. but sundance covered in snow is a beauty beyond compare!
{thanks for letting me steal your pics, tare}
we are so grateful to celebrate Our Savior's birth.
and we are so happy we got to do it surround by the ones we love!
hope your Christmas was as merry as ours.
