jords family was gracious enough to take rowan for a couple days while we got a.w.a.y! (thank you again).
 i mean, you know we love that girl, but jord and i  haven't been away together in a veeeeery long time,
and i loved every second of it. we started in heber and ended in park city.
we four-wheeled, we ate, we watched movies, we ate more... and just relaxed.

 park city
 {pc is my favorite.. i went a little picture-crazy}

just gotta say it, i love this guy more than i ever could have imagined. there are a few thousand reasons why i love him.
and getting away just tripled that list.
husband, this thing we have going on... i think its pretty great. and if the next million years
are as good as the last four, well i say bring it on.
happy four years babe.

3 years

our marriage turned 3 today..

we went to a matinee this afternoon before dinner...
we went and saw something borrowed (loved it!)
it was, of course, a chick flick where they fall in love at the end.
and they live happily ever after.

but on the way home i was thinking about how i landed the man of my dreams,
and how happy he makes me.
and then i heard my little girl sneeze in the back, and then she coo'ed a little.

and i just had to smile... thinking,
how does life get any better than this?

i love you more everyday jord.
thank you for 3 years of pure bliss.

forever yours,

the wife.

oh mexico! {part two}

{see post below for the first half of our trip}

Port #2: Mazatlan

after swimming with the dolphins, i was completely satisfied with the vacation. We could have packed up and left, and i would have been so happy. But the fun doesn't stop there people. I had planned on staying on the beach and laying out all day.. so i could come home with a sa-weet tan. But this port turned out to be a lot more fun that i had planned. ps. this was one of the ports we were told NOT to bring anything valuable. {our taxi driver was giving us tips on how to not get robbed, very comforting!} so we are using our dinky little point-and-shoot camera. the pictures are not so great.

I do however, have to say that this was the most annoying port, as far as the "locals" go. I swear that they just circled around me and shawnee. i wish i would have kept track on how many times we were asked to "braid our hair", or buy homemade bracelets with our names on them, or get a tatoo, or buy a beach towel. I honestly was getting so impatient... I wanted to say "Do you think my mind has changed from the last 6x you've asked me in the last 20 minutes!?!?!" But bless their little hearts. This port we met Henry, and Irwin.. two of the funniest people on earth. LOTS of inside jokes came from them.

Jord and Preston decided to rent a kayack and go and ride the waves.

every once and a while i would look down the coast line of the beach and see their kayack upside down with no boys in sight. {gave me a heart attack!} and the owners kept saying "i hope you girls have life insurance... those boys are crazy!" yes, thank you. i was certain i was going to go home a widow. and only after they came back, did i realize how insane they actually were. i remember hearing "flipped upside down, couldn't get out of the kayack, prestons/jords ores would fly into eachothers faces, trying to save the kayack....." those two are crazy.
After a while, we were convinced on parasailing, and got a sweet deal, so jord let me go! {i got such a sweet husband!} I've never been, and it was sooo fun.

{taking off from the beach}

{it looks a whole lot higher when you are up there!}

after we decided to call it a day, we stopped in at a local restaurant and got a very authentic mexican lunch, where gratefully, none of us got sick!

Port #3: Cabo

Cabo was by far the prettiest port we went to. But we had the least amount of time at this port, because it was our last, and you have to set so much time aside to get home. And since we had accomplished all we had wanted to, and done all the excursions we came to do, this time we really were planning on just playing at the beach. well, someone had caught our attention when we got off the ship and asked to go on a "glass bottom boat tour". okay? and i'm soooo glad we did. he took us on a boat tour to see all the famous places of cabo. The arches, the famous lovers beach, and pelican beach, he took us to a spot where they had caught a hammer head shark two days before! {i will watch shark week, but i will never voluntarily put myself in shark infested waters. so ya, i was really anxious to go snorkeling there!} These are the pics i took on our glass bottom boat tour: {sorry, there a ton. but it was so pretty!}

{the pelicans were huge!}

{the famous arch}

{lovers beach}

isn't the scenery gorgeous??

so after our tour, we got dropped off on a beach and he told us he would come back in a couple hours. {im pretty sure that i thought he was never coming back....} so we just played on the beaches, did a little snorkeling. i didn't have the best experience last time we went snorkeling in grand caymen, and after about 10 minutes of snorkeling in cabo, i saw a jellyfish.. and then alot of people started to get stung, so i opted out of snorkeling the rest of the time. still fun though!

{we were trying to take a picture, and a huge wave suprised us. and then it started taking us away}

{this is an inside joke picture... jord showed his biceps to everyone}

and before leaving.. we did some shopping in the local markets

and then we had one more formal night... and one more day at sea

and all of a sudden it was over. we were so sad!
so before we got off the boat, we thought "what the heck, we are in southern california.. lets go to disneyland!"
and so we did.

{they gave me and jord little pins that said "happy anniversary!"}

what can i say about disneyland? its the happiest place on earth.
we enjoyed every minute.

so- if you didn't believe me before,
this was
the best. vacation. ever..
we never wanted it to end. { im sure you did!}
thank you jord for such an amazing anniversary trip, and to be able to spend so much time with you.
i couldn't be happier with our life right now- love love love you!

ps. and i swear i will never have a post that long ever again.
