labor day happenings...

i swear im gonna be better at blogging (if i write it down, maybe i'll hold myself to it.) i've been waiting for a blog make-over. it didn't happen. but in due time my friends. i might as well try and update myself for the last few months.

you know the drill.
we always go camping for labor day with my nelson side of the family. there are always good laughs, good food, good games, lots of activities (etc.) but this year we decided to add another element... the scariest storm e.v.e.r.! like for reals. it rained, it poured, it thundered, the sky lit up a billion times, we came close to death- but we survived. so keep that in mind when you see us in mis-matched clothes, no make-up, big white ugly tennis shoes, bags under our eyes and really pretty hair. but man was it gooooo times!

{a reunion of a family}

remember last years reunion...
or the year before?
or the year before?

you get the point- this is an annual thing. and it gets better and better every year.

we were nervous to take rowan camping- more for everyone else's sake {tent= NOT sound proof}but she did suprisingly well. there was lots going on, and she was definitely entertained. among the highlights: bottle-rockets, good food, 79 people attending, "the circle of secrets", swimming, badmitton, lipsyncs, ladder-golf, tie dye (even for baby ro!), and enough laughs to last us a lifetime.

bottom line. i love these people. and im so lucky to belong to this family.
even if there are 23987 of us ;) so enjoy the 23987 pictures.

were taken on day #4 of camping. why? i will never know.

but we're kinda nast.

ps. we found and got a townhouse in bountiful. we are moving next week and i could not be more thrilled! hardwood floors, new carpet, painted walls, garage, dishwasher... OKAY!!!

we spent the weekend camping at cherry hill.

a weekend of no labor...

we attended the annual nelson family reunion over labor day weekend..
with 60 people in attendance- there was enough laughing, good food, lots of snoring, lots of dog-barking, and definitely NO SLEEP, going around that there was a gooooood time had by all.

including a tournament of ladder golf (our new favorite!)

an intense game of family feud

and a few hilarious rounds of minute to win it

and you know until we have kids of our own...
