less than 3 weeks to go!

down to less than three weeks.. im in panic mode a little bit ;)

This is last weeks post:

36 weeks: What I Know Now

- Baby girls nursery is pretty much done, just a few more details. Its not the dream nursery i was hoping for, but i still love it. I'll post pics soon! seriously i will.... ;)

- Its amazing how little of an activity takes the breath out of me!

- Although the prescription is helping, my heartburn is HORRID. If by some chance i fall asleep during the night, i wake up quickly choking on my own vomit in my mouth cause it is so bad. And starting last week its been pouring... and i literally mean pouring... out my nose. (tmi?). yes, vomit pouring out my nose. its all so lovely. I have to note that heartburn has definitely been one of the hardest things about this pregnancy.

- I fear the nights. Mostly because i know im not going to sleep. If its not the heartburn, its because jord's snoring sounds like there is an earthquake or he's about to attack something (still love you babe!), if its not the snoring, its because i feel like she's coming out, and if its not that, its because i have to get up and pee once or twice.... and if its none of that, then its me just staring at the clock thinking "i am seriously having a baby so soon... is this real?????" and then my thoughts just go haywire.

- My bladder is the size of a peanut, i am sure of it.

- I feel like baby girl is crowning 75% of the day. Obviously, i know she's not. But its painful enough that i feel like she could be. The night is the worst. I have mastered the "waddle". I always wondered why prego's waddle.... and now i know its because there is so much pressure, its hard to just walk! I love that strangers can just watch you walk and say "oh, you poor thing.."

-Baby girl is everywhere! At our ultrasound, they had a hard time measuring her head because it was SOO low (which explains all the pain). But her feet were jabbin my ribs. Her femur measured almost two weeks ahead of schedule. So she is just BIG and LONG.

- Pedicures are HEAVEN!

- No stretchmarks... yet.

-Names, Names, Names. Its really hard. I obviously have a list, and we've narrowed it down to a couple. But i think since I am not 100% sure, that i just want to see her first. And i think it will be fun to have it be a surprise!

- I always get asked about weird cravings. And i honestly havent had any. I think my diet has been way more restricted than it has expanded. I still cant have Cafe Rio or Chinese Food or anything too meaty. But i do love to chew on ice.

- My back really doesn't hurt too bad.  I always hear of how bad prego's backs kill. And yes, its getting worse. But maybe i was just prepped for it being SO bad, that i thought i would be dying. But im not.

- Taking a birthing class. And honestly, its been really helpful. Im glad we decided to take one. (more for jords sake then mine ;)

- I'm up to 25 lbs... yikes.

- I'm freakishly "nesting"- I am panicking to get my house clean and ready for baby girl to come home with us. I want everything to be spotless and smelling so fresh and clean.

- I'm not too swollen anywhere.. yet. i still can where my shoes, and my wedding ring still fits.  I feel pretty lucky.

- I have a champion for a husband. He seriously deals with so much, and he's so good to me.

and here is this weeks post:

LESS THAN THREE WEEKS!!!

My doctor checked me at my 35 week apt, and i was dilated to a 1.5 and 70% effaced. At my 36 week appointment, i was dilated to a 2. He said "I'm not going to get your hopes up, but since you are dilated already.... there is a pretty good chance of her coming early." YAY! (i know a bunch of you are going to say "my doctor told me that too.. and it didn't happen") So im not going to freak out if she doesnt. But i have thought from the beginning that she would come early for so many reasons- and when the doctor says "not a lot of people are dilated AT ALL at 35 weeks", and the same thing happened to my sister and her baby came 10 days early---- im just guessing this baby will make her debut a little earlier than planned. And if she doesnt, well, at least i am getting things done and ready for her to come whenever she IS ready.
We'll see how my 37 week apt goes on monday.

holla!

wow i have been bad at bloggin lately...
here's a MIGHTY update.

i didn't want to be one of those PARANOID mothers that freaks out at the littlest things...
but the chord was wrapped around baby's neck at week 20, so i asked if it was something to worry about
and the doc said to just be safe and get another ultrasound.
So we got to see baby girl right before i was 34 weeks.
All i heard was: BIG. LONG. and SHE'S EVERYWHERE.
i guess i shouldn't have been surprised, considering that jord and i aren't real small people,
but for some reason, i was?

anyway, the ultrasound tech said everything was good. and baby girl looks really healthy. (and has lots of hair!) so i am relieved.

baby girl and i have been oh-so-spoiled lately with showers.
my BF's threw jena and me a shower a little while ago.
thank you so much girls- love each and every one of ya!
** i am over the fact of how disgusting and large i look in the following pictures. SERIOUSLY***

and last week, my sweet friends up here threw me a shower as well.
every detail was "as cute as a button"- thank you everyone for coming & for your support!
you guys are the best! and baby girl and i are so lucky.

jord and i went "baby-mooning" this past week for spring break.
and even though we experienced a few difficulties (the flu, heartburn NIGHTMARE, no sleep)
it still was so nice to spend a last vacation with just the two of us.

we started out in vegas:
stayed with my BF haley & jord the first night. it was so fun catching up with them,
spent some time with grandma & grandpa staples,
had a night out on the strip (women who are 8 months pregnant should NOT walk the strip 3 days in a row!)
and yummy cheesecake factory

met up with my sister & brother in law for phantom of the opera
it was an amazing show and baby girl went CRAZY the entire time! it was hilarious.

and ended the baby moon in st.george where we met up with my family for a few days of the annual
t-wolf baseball tournament. (my dad's baseball team)
we got in lots of R&R, shoppin, swimmin & eatin!

i couldnt get either of these two to smile.
but even their wannabe rocker faces are my favorite ;)

this little one however, let me take pictures of him forever.
i think him and i have a special bond going for us...

and last, but not least... the baby post from last week.
again i say, i cant believe how fast time is flying by.

hello overload

busy busy busy....
i used to be on top of blogging.
that is no longer. my apologies.
update needed. but a very long one.

even on the few days we had off during the break, we had lots going on.
with baby showers for our dear kendra.
and her sweet little sailor, to be. {thus, the theme}.

____________________________________________
and if you know me at all, you know we also had a new moon release party.
{okay, we did not. jord was NOT involved.}
need a closer look? yes, i thought so.

this is edward. given to me by one of my favorite, and most thoughtful aunts.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SIDENOTE: just in case any of you are thinking, "is she serious?"
dead serious people.
but let me explain of how im not a psycho.
i love twilight. absolutely love it. fell in love with the books as soon as the first one came out.
but i just happen to have 4 sisters who are four of the funniest people i have ever met,
and who love twilight as well.
and to get a RIOT out of our husbands, we dramatize {can you tell?}
our love for edward cullen, and for r. pattz.
so NO: i am not psychotic.
but YES: im such a fan of twilight and of edward.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

and back to the story:
because i dramatize my love for edward, my sweet aunt
brought me over this doll that sits on my mantle to look at everyday.
{ha ha... okay, the drama again}.
but just so you dont think that jord is a victim,
i went out to my car to unpack it, and found EDWARD
sitting face down in the street.
and my not-so-innocent husband had a smirk on his face as he walked past me.
so the drama will continue.
we DID go and pick up our copies of new moon at walmart at midnight.

and some of us didn't last five minutes of turning it on at home.

uh, that is, NO ONE lasted five minutes of turning it on.
except me. i only saw it 9x in the theater, so i needed to make up for it.

dont worry, edward kept me company.
