{happy halloween!}

we had a fun halloween this year! since i was so focused on greer's birthday, i dont know why, but i just wasn't that into halloween? i hope its not like that every year. but i was definitely ready to have it come and go. however, it was still alot of fun. our costumes weren't the most creative, or the funniest. i just found this cute shop on etsy that sold animal ears/tail sets. so i got a set for each of the girls and decided we would be hunters. (truth be told, i was supposed to be a deer, but couldn't pull it together). i promised rowan that if she would be a wolfe to our halloween party, that she could be a princess trick-or-treating. DEAL! and she was great about it. that girl is way too funny.
she did, however, keep changing her mind from a princess to a blue spider-man a couple times a day. (she only has boy cousins, mind you.) but in the end, she decided to go with the princess.
good choice, rowan girl! ;)

our foxy lil' lady, and our 'scawey' wolfe girl.

happpppppy halloween!

{ halloween..}

Since there is a huge possibility of us being busy on halloween, I wanted to get pictures of Rowan-girl in her costume before I forgot. We had a halloween party up at Grandma Nelson's last night, so here are some pics of our really cute Bo-Peep. This costume has been around for ages... my mom made it for Lindsay when she was a little girl. Rowan was SO excited when she saw her "pitty dress!" and she never wanted to take it off. Such a girlie-girl. ;)
We have a book of nursery rhymes, and everytime we read it,
Rowan talks about her being Bo-Peep for "Haween."

Little Bo Peep has lost her sheep,
and doesn't know where to find them.
Leave them alone, and they'll come home,
wagging their tails behind them.

{happy halloweenie...}

jord and i want to wish you a happy halloween [weekend]. and theflamingo did too- although she needed a little momma convincing at first with the costume, because if its possible to be so dramatic at 6.5 months old, she is............and i cant imagine where in the world she got that from. ;) check out the faces.
but its her first halloween, she needed to start out with a bang. and a bang it is!

rowan: "mom, i cant do this..."

{and then she was happy until the head piece was attached to her head.... i know, good luck with the helmet, right?}

have a happy halloweenie.

halloweenie...

i have loved reading all about your guys' halloween posts. and seeing fun costumes.
i think that i got excited for halloween waaaaay to early.
so i was kind of burnt out by the time it actually came around...
so our costumes were lame-sauce.

but hey, we went out and celebrated with the hopkins anyway!
went out to dinner... and walked around a few stores, so somebody (cough.. jord) could show off his costume around town.  We then went back to the hopkins, took a few pictures,
watched a "scary" movie (it really wasn't), and ate treats til our hearts were content.

  the cutest little gnome family that you ever did see

and of course, the little one!

and while i was helping take pictures of the hopkins,
jord was inside having a photo session of his own.
i always find at least 10 pictures on our camera of this........

oh, he is a character. that is for sure.

and then we got our own. here are the bikers.

and even the family of owls showed up for a little bit.

thanks for a fun night guys!

oh, and here is this weeks journal entry.
i decided we took pictures way too early this morning. i look like i got 4 hours of sleep, oh wait.

(click to enlarge)

we are headed to disneyland with the staples next week to celebrate
my mother-in-laws big 5-0! (i mean 38, right robyn!?)
and then we find out what our little peanut is on the 15th~
I'M DYING!!!!!!
if you havent voted on our baby poll yet... you must!
{i'm shocked how many of you think its a girl!}

there is a crisp chill in the air

fall is definitely my favorite season,
and its starting to {finally} feel like it outside.

top 5 of why i love fall

1. its absolutely gorgeous outside.
(i'm still waiting for sardine canyon to change.. but it will be a sight to see when it does}

       (pictures taken on my phone, last year up at sundance}

2. fall food is yummy.
{bread bowls, yummy soups, chili, pumpkin chocolate chip cookies}

3. because i love sweaters & boots.
and this sort of weather is perfect for them! {honestly, i own a sweater of every color, and every design.. its kind of ridiculous}

4. its the start of all the big, fun holidays.
{i will admit, my house has been decorated for weeks}

5. and i love seeing pumpkins on everyone's front porch.

happy haunting
what are your favorite things about fall?

catch-up

lets play catch-up for a minute.

relief society lesson- taught.
180 question anatomical kinesiology test- taken. {possibly the hardest test of my life}
100 question motor learning test-taken.
anatomy quiz- taken.
7 minute persuasive speech on why you should never talk on the cell phone while driving- done.
got my schedule figured out and registered for next semester- done.

this was what i had to accomplish the last four days of last week. im sooo glad its over.
doesn't it feel good to get a list of things done and checked off??
although i didn't love my major, as much, the last few days.......
{when did tests become over 50 questions long? i swear that has to be illegal!}
i am also quite appreciate that everyone studies what they are interested in.
because i love my major. {exercise science}
and this is why;

last thursday, i was in a cadaver lab. (where i am every thursday)
and i was holding somebodies brain. and somebodies heart.
to some of you, that may be absolutely disgusting.
but i was enthralled by it.
our bodies are absolutely amazing. a masterpiece.

and last friday, i was in our new athletic training center.
and like i try to do before every lab on friday, i go to the gym and run on the treadmill.
but last friday i was running on a treadmill that was UNDER WATER.
the coolest thing i've ever seen? uh... yes.

*these girls went right before me. it doesnt look like it, but they were running so hard and fast. the trainer said that they were running the same as if it were a 6 minute mile on land. there are videos under water so you can watch your self run.

you could walk on it, or run. and she would also put the jets on you so you were running against
alot of resistance. its supposed to be soo much better than running on hard pavement.
i will save my money so i can have one of these in my house one day. seriously. it was awesome.

VEGAS with the fam.
a few weeks ago, (okay, about a month)
and my dad was reffing the byu vs. unlv game.

the unlv fans looooved the fact that there were 15 of us,
and they threw out about every mormon joke at us that they could.
oh the influence of alcohol :)

HALLOWEEN
.
our halloween was fun this year. but i have to admit how boring we were.
we have been so crammed that we honestly had no time to come up with anything creative.
{i was at the library for 8 hours on halloween....}

but luckily, we have some creative, and awesome neighbors that invited us to a clue party.
we had such a good time, thanks ryan & leah!

we went as the lovely mrs. peacock and colonel mustard.

and then halloween, we headed over to our friends heidi and jason's and partied all night.
{dressed as the same thing... lame, i know.}

PROJECTS.
stay tuned a little bit longer... there was a little delay in the last few steps of our big projects. but our house is finally turning into a home. i love it.

BLUEBUTTON.
if you are in orem, or live close.. come to our boutique this weekend! (november 21)
click here for more details.

RELEASED.
i got released from the relief society presidency last week, and although we had anticipated it, and i thought it would be such a relief.... i was quite sad. i have enjoyed my calling so much, and especially loved the girls that i served with.

1.5 years..
me and jord have been married a year and a half today!
cant believe it.
who knew life could be so good.

love you babe.

and to save the best for last....
ITS NEW MOON WEEK!!!

the countdown is on,
the tickets have been purchased,
and i can hardly sleep anymore because of the anticipation.
TWO DAYS.
