{twenty five.}

i turned a quarter-of-a-century old yesterday. geez, i'm old! we celebrated all week, and i was spoiled. last sunday, my sweet in-laws had a little party for me. (of course i didn't have the camera). thursday, we drove down south and celebrated with my family. dinner & the olive garden, cake & ice cream at my sisters.

yesterday, i heard jord getting ready for work, very early in the a.m., and i heard him tip-toe into rowans room because she was waking up about 2 hours earlier than normal. i heard him say "go back to sleep bae girl, it's your momma's birthday, so please be so good for her." i smiled and went back to sleep, and so did rowan. what a good girl, listenin to her daddy. and then i woke up to a clean & decorated house.
ya know those moments when you you realize that you married the exact person you were supposed to? when they put a smile on your face and you just think.... no one else in the world could possibly make you happier? well, when i saw these decorations, i thought that about my hubs.

he seriously took the time, to uphold to my family traditions of the "toilet paper decor", cut out the 2 and the 5 by hand.... and then glittered them! come on, what a stud! he also called me about 15 times during the day, while he was at work, to make sure i was still having a good birthday.

and then to top it off, he got off work early and showed up at the door with these. he's the best.

i had a lunch date with my bestest girlfriend  ;) who decided that she would give her momma the best present in the whole world and cuddle on her chest for about 15 minutes. ( i just about died, she never does that!)

and then my very generous in-laws offered to take the babe for the night so that i could enjoy a date with my man. it was needed. and it was soooooo nice to spend a whole night with just the two of us! we went to outback for dinner, the sweet tooth fairy for their divine cake bites, and then to the movies for a little 'man on a ledge' (which was intense and actually pretty good!).

while we were at dinner, i discovered i had some of rowans poop on my shirt. gross, right? it was a teeny spot, and it must have come from the diaper change i did in the car right before i handed her off to the in-laws. but jord and i just laughed about it. and in the back of my mind, i just thought..... that's who i am. a mom. a twenty-five year old mom to the best baby girl, and twenty-five year old wife to the best husband.
i'm such a lucky girl!
