i love love love the fourth! such an inspiring and patriotic day. we really didn't want to be bums like we were last year, so we planned on going to the provo parade. of course you have to set up seats like a week before, and we didn't. so we kind of just walked up, watched for about 30 mins, grabbed a waffleluv and went and ate it by the park. it was hoooooottttttt.
so we didn't last too long, but just the perfect amount.
and just for future reference, i don't put blush on rowan ;)
she gets the sweet little rosy cheeks from her daddy.
we then headed over to grammie and poppie's house to see what was happening. grammie pulled out this old vintage wagon and took the girls on a ride. another photo shoot? hey, why not.
after that we went home for some naps and some swimming. (we love having a pool in our backyard!) then we went up to grandma and grandpa staples house for a bbq and fireworks. for some reason, rowan was terrified of the fireworks this year.... they were too loud for her liking. but then we pulled out the sparklers, and she still didn't like them. but greer sure did! oh well, maybe next year.
we still had an amazing fourth of july! we love celebrating our beautiful country,
and we are so grateful for those who sacrifice so much to give us a life of freedom.
