Our first night in the hospital was uh-mazing. I didnt get more than two hours of sleep the night before we went to the hospital, and giving birth to a baby has a way of draining you ;) so I was completely exhausted. One piece of advice my mom gave me with Rowan was to send the baby to the nursery. It was your last opportunity to get a few hours of sleep. I did that with Rowan, and I was so grateful I did, so I did that this time with Greer. I was able to get six hours of solid sleep that night (with help of a sleeping pill- ha ha!). It felt amazing to sleep that long. I walked down to the nursery in the morning to see how everything went and they said she did awesome.
Day Two:
We did the same thing the second night. She had another good night and I was so grateful to sleep again, especially since we were leaving the next morning, and it was going to be awhile before I got that much sleep again ;) And before we knew it, it was time to check out and head home! I think Greer was as nervous as I was about the whole thing because she cried the entire time we were trying to get discharged.
we discovered that she really likes her passie.
.........and that was that. We were a family of four now.
