jordan's little sister alyssa got married in newport beach on the 11th. we absolutely have loved getting to know parker and are so excited that he's joined the fam. parker is from manhattan beach, and lyss went to school in california and has always wanted to get married in the newport beach temple (good thing she met someone from there!) so it worked out perfect for everyone. including people like us, who love weddings, and love california. so why not combine them? jord's parents rented a big beach house for about 15+ people to stay in and there were gooooooood times had.
----- and i must preface every single one of these pics by saying that rowan has turned into a complete HAM. especially on this trip. she makes the cheesiest of the cheesy smiles that you have ever seen. so if you are taken back by some of these pics... trust me, i know. its so random, but hilarious. and i dont know where she learned it!
thursday:
rowan and i (with bro & sis in law) flew to california thursday morning. and i found out on the way to the airport that we would be going straight to Disneyland for lyss's bachelorette party. i was unprepared completely (rowan and i looked like stragglers from the streets) and of course, wasn't prepared with my camera. so i got a few from my phone. i knew we were going again with jord a couple days later, so i only took a couple pics.

#1-4: on the plane. dont be fooled by her cheesy smiles. 5 minutes after take off she was NOT HAPPY. poor girl was restless and yes, i was one of "those moms" that everyone wants to smack because she cant get her baby to stop crying.
#5: disneyland!!
#6-7: who needs naps? we're at disneyland! happy as a clam now.
#8: her new toms. momma loves them more than baby does.

friday:

their temple sealing & ceremony was beautiful. i love being able to see a couple get sealed and hearing them promise forever to eachother. i always get emotional, especially sitting next to my man, thinking about our wedding day. but back to the current bride and groom..... after the sealing, i was literally running around the temple trying to get my bridesmaid dress on and rowans dress on (wondering where the heck my husband was) that i missed parker and lyss coming out of the temple ;( so i didn't get great pics. somebody, cough... jord.... cough, took longer to get ready that the bride. so he missed them too. oh well. they are such a darling couple and we are so happy for them!

the reception was at a darling place called balboa inn right on the beach. i, of course, hardly took any pics because i've discovered that big events like these are much harder with a baby and her schedule. but if you love pictures as much as i do, and because i love our photographer that much, you can look at his amazing pics of the wedding here and here. i seriously just love weddings!! they are so full of love. congrats lyss & parker, a million x over. love you both!
