wanna know a random fact about me? i am o.b.s.e.s.s.e.d with little things.
one of my clearest memories as a child was cutting out those teeny checks you get in the mail. (where the check company is just advertising their new designs). i would cut all of them out and put them in a little bag because i thought they were so cute and tiny! another memory is when my older sister brynne turned 8 (so i was 6?). she had her birthday party at a place down in provo, i think. i dont remember what it was called, but there were hundreds of doll houses. and not plastic doll houses, i'm talking victorian vintage doll-houses. every room in the dollhouse was filled with every detail you could imagine- a tiny newspaper and banana peel hanging out of the garbage can, lamps that had cords that plugged into an outlet. i was in absolute heaven.
about a year ago, i caught a section in hobby lobby filled with things just like that- to fill a dollhouse. i probably stood there for an hour looking at all of those little things. so you can probably guess when i saw this dollhouse over at making it lovely, i wanted to DIE. i cant wait to make one for rowan. what a fun idea to create something from scratch. oooh, i'm excited just thinking about it.
why did i tell you that story? just to get the point across..... i'm obsessed with little things.
sooooooo, you can imagine when i got these in the mail yesterday:
mini "oxfords" for rowan. they are a size two! yes, i killed over in cuteness.
even the tiny floral print inside. oh heavens, thank you zara (my new-found obsession).

with this "new year" came a weird sense of cleanliness. i really like to be clean, dont get me wrong, but i've never been OCD about being clean, i left that for my sister lindsay. (love ya jo!). and it really wasn't one of my new years resolutions, but all of a sudden, i have wanted everything to be fresh, clean and organized. i'm not complaining about this at all- but i've driven myself mad the last few weeks trying to get things organized and projects done. i cant tell you how many things i've thrown out (wish it was garage sale season). our neighbors probably think we are moving. but we are finally getting a move on things, and its awesome!

jord built some shelves.
i need to finish painting some of the frames, and fill them, and organize them better;
but i was so happy to have them up!
my parents had that white entry table built for us for christmas. (oh, i love it!)
my aunt courtney gave me this adorable lamp that i cant stop looking at,
and also gave me the mirror that i just re-painted.
and i found a place for my multi-colored antlers that i got for christmas as well.
hallelujah, i'm finally gettin things done!
