decor? emptied my four boxes! including the new stuff i got last year the "day after". pictured below.
real christmas tree? not this year. we decided to save the fitty bucks and pull out the one from the garage. i know, such a scrooge thing to do. i'm disappointed, and missing that smell of a real tree.
shopping? not even close.
awe well. bring it on.

i went to the most darling boutique this past weekend. the beehive bazaar. sorry if you missed it.
but i found rowans first christmas "thing". i dont know if i'll do the ornament every year. i always thought i would, but never-the-less, i wrote rowans first christmas -2011 on it. so i'll check it off my list anyways, cause i think its the cutest ever.

thanksgiving point wins the best "sit on santa's lap" award this year because the parents dress up as santa. GENIOUS IDEA. then the kids arent scared, because its their mom or dad holding them. so me and the sisters decided to hit this up with the kiddo's. we first saw santa's reindeer. then while we were waiting to dress up, we decided to try the real santa's lap thing. (rowan actually did pretty well). and then i dressed up in the big red suit, and baby girl did perfect.

if i would have been more prepared, i would have had a different bow in my diaper bag,
and i would have tried to fix the massive one i had, since it was going skiwampus (ha ha, is that even a word?)- but the photographer threatened me to NOT MOVE.
but i still think they turned out pretty cute.
yay for baby girl's first christmas! we're trying to not go too crazy, cause i know she doesn't care ;)
but come on, its kind of a big deal.
