those people are insane.... but they are also genious'!
my sister lindsay started couponing, and saved $700 in one month. one month!
i put it in the back of my mind because i thought " you spend more money in gas going to the store then saving $.50 on one tub of toothepaste". but rowan and i took a trip to the mailbox this morning, only to pull out those annoying ads that are immediately thrown in the outside garbage before we even go back into the house. but i took a minute and thought i should at least look through them. so i did. and i cut out the coupons of things that i already buy. rhode's rolls, bread, toothpaste, wipes, cans of chilli, salad dressing, tide detergent, cereal, make-up (etc). i counted up the savings from those items, again- that i already buy, and i would save $15.91. i guess those "save $.55" adds up!!! and that doesnt even include the savings of things that are on sale (that i dont need a coupon for). which would easily add another $10-$15 to the savings.
now $30 ish dollars might not seem like such a big deal to some people. but when its 2 days before pay day, you can usually find me turning the couch cushions upside down, looking for change. ---okay, not really, but kinda ;)--- so i could use $30 around that time. and this is all after one day of cutting coupons. think of the savings if i did it everyday. i also downloaded the "shop at home" which has access to hundreds of printable coupons. diapers, wipes, baby food. and you know that we, and many of you, could save on that type of stuff!
now, im not sayin that you're gonna find me on the next episode of extreme couponing... but i think im gonna start saving me some money! who's with me!?!?
