my little girl,
you're two months old! this last month flew by so fast. i really love this stage because in some ways you are still my little newborn, but in others you are becoming more of a baby; i just love it. you got to experience alot of new things this last month- your mom & dad graduated from college. wahoo! you walked with us and got lots of attention in the little aggie outfit of yours. but hey, you went through the last semester with mom, so you were just as a part of it as anyone else! ;) but the biggest thing was, a big move! your daddy got a job and so we moved from logan, the place you were born. we are going to miss that place, especially since its where your daddy and i met, and the place we had YOU! you were so good during the move though... you are a champ in that carseat of yours- good girl! We are staying with Grandpa and Grandma Staples for the summer and they love having you around.
New things with you:
-you are such a smiley girl now! and oh my word, is it the cutest smile we have ever seen. you are going to breaking lots of hearts little girl. (but your dad says not til you're 35, okay?)
- you know how to say momma! okay, not really. but you cry saying "maaaaa", and when you say it over and over it definitely sounds like you are saying momma. and i love it ;)

- you are "coo-ing" alot and its one of moms favorite favorite things. you like to tell me lots of stories.
- you are so strong. everyone comments on those long long legs of yours, and especially when they get a kick from them. you are holding your head up really well now, and suprisingly, you kind of like tummy time!
- you like to scratch your face ;( so if you are looking back on pictures and wondering why you always had mittened onsies on, its because we needed to keep those fingers away from that pretty face of yours.
- you LOVE to sleep. and mommy loves that you love to sleep ;) you are sleeping about 7-9 hours every night. and you pretty much sleep all day. way to go little girl! mom is so lucky!
- mom and dad finally got a swing for you and you love it. its almost a guaranteed way to put you to sleep.
- you still love to be swaddled. mom bought a swaddler for you (a.k.a the straight jacket) and you love that as well. its another magical way to get you to go to sleep at night. (and mom is glad that you cant kick out of it like all your other blankets!)
- you DO NOT like your back to be scratched.
- you are so good at holding things in your hands. you have such a tight grip on them!
we went to your two-month appointment this week. you weigh 10.7 lbs (38%), 23 inches long (75%), and your head is 14 inches around (17%). So you are still a long skinny girl with a little head ;) You had to get your shots at this appointment and both of us had a really hard time. you cried really really hard, and i was doing okay until they told me i could pick you up and hold you.... you just buried yourself in my neck and cried so hard. thats when mommy lost it. it was really hard to hear you cry, but it was one of the first times that i felt like you really needed me, as your momma, to comfort you. not just to eat, but you needed your momma- and that made me so happy. i couldnt ask for a more perfect little girl, and i love being your momma more than you will ever know. keep growing so big and strong baby girl, your daddy and i love you so much.
