{ja'maican me crazy!}

*warning: very long post with picture overload*
since i woke up this morning to a few inches of snow, and it hasn't stopped for 12 hours,
i decided to finally post about our AMAZING, very warm 6-day cruise over spring break.
we were quite lucky how everything turned out so we could go...
and although our friends bailed out on us (cough.. shawnee) it turned out to be a nice 2nd honeymoon :)

to start:
i LOVE the airport-
i guess the feeling of going somewhere brings the out the child in me.
this trip, however, that was not the case.
*perhaps it was because we were flying back home to school and snow*

its not as bad when you have some good reads -------------------->

note: got a new pet peave...
when you are flying the teeniest plane ever,
for a four hour flight,
sitting on the VERY back row where your seat is basically leaning forward
and the couple in front of you leans their chairs back.
(i felt really bad for my 6' 6 husband..)

our first port: key west
(the very drunk locals)

key west exceeded my expectations by far.. it was such cute little town

THIS IS SERIOUSLY THE LIFE!!!!
i am in school at the north pole for what reason again?!?!?

our second port: grand cayman

grand cayman provided many adventures...
from TONS of very expensive sunscreen, to "opting out" of the island food, to talking parrots,
to getting completely ripped off at burger king. (a burger and chicken fingers cost $18?)
but snorkeling with the stringrays was definitely the highlight!

formal night on the boat
*side note, the ports were AMAZING. but so was being on the boat- for those who have never been on a cruise before, we HIGHLY suggest going! there are shows EVERY NIGHT. (broadway shows, comedians, vantriloquists, bingo, "american idol") in the most amazing theater. you get your bed made and cleaned twice a day! and not to mention the food. you eat whatever, and how many of it, you want. (we are talking steak, seafood, chicken, pork, soups, pasta... all you can eat) and we also loved the 24 hour pizza/ice cream buffet. you'll gain 25 of the L.B.'s, but come on, you're on vacation! honestly we probably ate 8000 calories a day-
and our last, but certainly not least, port: jamaica
(our favorite!)
our first gorgeous sight of ochos rios, jamaica. PICTURES DO NOT DO THIS PLACE JUSTICE!
we met some hilarious ladies on our table who handed us quite a few laughs
and took us under their wing. (and totally gave us the hook-ups in jamaica!)
thanks jan, vicki, jo and diane for the good times- we miss ya
above: our driver took us and "the girls" for a ride through the beautiful fern gulley
and then we took a chair lift over the rain forest and were speechless every second we were on it.
it honestly was the most BEAUTIFUL thing i've ever seen in my entire life!

the locals were hilarious, and some of the nicest people i've ever met.
and they honestly say "no problem, mon" after EVERYTHING!

oh, dont worry.. we'll be back.

if you cant tell, we had an AMAZING time. it was fun to just be with eachother,
and have a break from the snow, work & school. reality blows.
